I found this paper i had written on Christianity and the Arts a long time ago, and there was a paragraph i liked and i wanted to post it on my blog, but then i decided not to...mainly because I'm not really there anymore(needing to defend the traces of Christianity in my work) but i still liked it so i thought i could post it on your blog instead. so here it is: What I want for my art: freedom to welcome the annointing from God. I must absolutely apply my Christian faith to my arts. I am left with no choice. And yes, I know that through our nation's constitution we have agreed to maintain a separation between church and state, and as my obligation is to abide in that law I will heed its suggestion, but when it comes to my personal expression- I will not censor here. My faith in GOd, my moral standards, this is who I am. The foundation of my personality lies in Christianity, so how can I be asked to keep this separate from my art? By advancing his kingdom, we are meant to live, breathe, and walk everyday under the breathe and observance of GOd.
